We met Lana in the novella Sunshine and Suspicion and I loved her, she is taking a year off her busy high profile job in the city as a publicist for celebrities and this is after she has broken up with her actor boyfriend, it is time for Lana to find herself and rest, she has a perfect little house by the side of the lake in the small town of Cherry Grove.
Lana is making friends in the town and is asked to join the local hockey team Lana is looking forward to getting to know Wyatt much better and have some fun, but when a member of the opposite team is found dead in the club house the finger is pointed at the members of the Cherry Grove hockey team and Lana is determined to find the killer with Wyatt’s help.
Uncovering the truth also uncovers many things that have been kept secret from the past but nothing will deter Lana not even the taunts from her fellow team members, the more unravelling she does the more danger she puts herself in, will she be the next victim or will she find the killer?
I am thoroughly enjoying this new series from Megan Mayfair, they are filled with characters who are all have a part to play in the town and I love Lana’s way of uncovering clues even when she puts herself in danger, she never gives up. She and Wyatt are getting closer and I am sure their relationship is going to grow and I do look forward to the next book in the series. I do highly recommend this one to any reader who loves a good who done it with fabulous characters and a lovely setting.
