I loved being back in Lemon Tree Bay, catching up with Clara and the other wonderful characters who make this beach side town home, Clara and Lucas have been running along the beach when they smell smoke and realise their favourite beach bar Esmerelda’s is on fire and then they realise owner Pierre is still inside they jump in a save him and now the investigations begins to find out what happened, come along for the journey it was really good.
Clara is soon having dreams about the fire and she is also upset about the fact that Lucas has to go away for six months for work will she cope with another long distance relationship she knows what happened with the last one all those years ago. Clara finds a cocker spaniel wandering the town and rescues her and soon adopts Sunflower.
There is a lot happening in the town with a John Doe washing up on the beach and Senior Constable Adam Billings is trying to work out if this incident is connected to the fire, Adam is working hard and finding links to his girlfriend’s family as well and the investigation is going slowly and Adam finds talking to Clara helps him sort things out and he is wondering whether being in Lemon Tree Bay is for the best or not.
Clara of course cannot help getting involved in the investigation add to that, that the dog Sunflower seems to be pulling Clara in a certain direction towards a house in the town and things go wrong very quickly and yay for Sunflower and Lucas as finally the clues are put together and the answers are found.
Another great story in this series which not only had me guessing all the way, but there is also a lot going on with Clara and Lucas there is pressure put on their relationship will they be strong enough to hold up will their love pull them through add Adam into the mix and it could be a worry. I am very much looking forward to book three in this series and getting back to Lemon Tree Bay. I do highly recommend this book it has a bit of everything in it and Megan Mayfair has pulled it all together fabulously.
My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review
